Today in algebra we had to find when these toy cars would crash. We did a lot to equations. First we found where they were first at which was 0cm. Then we found out how long it would take each of them to get to get where they needed to go. One car took 2.6 seconds to get to 100cm, and another car took 1.7 seconds to get to 400cm. After that we wrote an equation using the numbers.
Here were both of our equations P = 1.7t + 400, and P = 2.6t + 100.       We started to solve our equations following the steps you would us to solve one. When we did solve them we saw that each cars speed is . Then we combined how fast they were going and how long it took. When we did that we found out when the cars were going to crash.

What are square roots?  Why are square roots called square roots? What is another name for them? Square roots are numbers, that when two numbers are multiplied by themselves they equal that number. Say for example 4 x 4= 24. 24 is the square root of 4.  Square roots are numbers that when you divide it by another number they quotient is the number you divided by.
I think square roots are are called square roots because if you put it in exponent form you would get a number squared or ( a number to the second power). 5^2 power is like saying 5. So the answer would be called your square  root. Another name for square roots could be index as it said in Google.com.
