Orchestra Beginning
Orchestra is really fun. We've learned the parts of our instruments already. We play a lot of songs. Some of the songs we've worked on are Fere Jaques, Mary Had A Little Lamb, Can-Can, and Roundelay in D. The last song is my favorite, because it sounds so pretty. The instrument I play is viola. Viola are bigger than violins, but they look like them. Some violas can be violin size, it just depends on the size of the person playing. The notes we've learned right now are all of the notes in the D major scale. W are preparing for a concert, but we need a lot more practice. I think we will be ok, and ready to preform.

This Is the parts of a viola diagram. We had to learn this when we first got our instruments. We had to learn where all of the peices were. We also had a test on it. This diagraram what the names of the parts are, and where they are. You need to know this just in case something breaks you will know what broke on your instrument.
This really helped me, because when she tells us to fine tune our strings, I know where they are. This diagram is also helpful, because it shows me what and where the strings are. This helps, because what if I am playing a song and I forget what string is the D string, this tells me. So as you can see this diagram is really helpful.
