Edible Cell Project
This is my edible cell group project. We made thisoutof sweets that represened the different parts of the cell. For example, the jaw breaker represents the nucleus, and the gumdrops represent the mitochondria. By making this cake I learned what the parts of a cell are and what they do.
This project was a good way to help me remember all of the parts of a cell. It was really fun to make. This reminds me of how in math calss we use variables to represent different numbers.

In life science we learn about cells and DNA. We just basically learn about living organisms. We already made our glogster project on the characteristics of living things. Well in the very beginnig we just worked in our science interactive reader workbooks. We are also using microscopes to get a closer look at some things. We are learnng how to use a microscope. In conclusion, we do alot of cool things in science.

Glogster Project This is my glogster project on the characteristics of living things. We were working on a section about living thng's characteristics. Our science teacher assigned us a glogster. A glogster is a website where you can create a page for a school project.
We had to put the title first. Then we had to put our name, class period, and date. Next we had to type the paragraph we wrote about the six charcteristics of living things . The topis were: living things have cells, living things have DNA, lin=ving things sense and respond to change, living things reproduce, living things use energy, and living thing grow and develop. Then we had to put three images, three links, and three videos, that were related to the topics. This project helped me learn the six characteristics better. I learned how living things grow and develop , what we use energy for, how living organisms respond to change when they feel it, the two ways organisms can reproduce, and how we have cells and DNA. Making this Glogster was really fun I hope we can do more like this in my other classes. To make my glogster I first had to got to their webpage (http://edu.glogster.com/) and signed up for an account with them. Once I did that I clicked creat glog , and I started on my glog. Glogster has differnt things you could put on your page like stickers and bubbles to write on. Then when I was all finished I clicked save or publish then I clicked finish and it automatically published my glog for only my teacher to see. |
